Mt.Takao festival of autumn leaves
Please go out and enjoy the spectacular view of Mt. Takao's autumn leaves turning yellow and red!
                  The best time to see autumn leaves is usually from mid-November to early December.
                  Many tourists and climbers visit during the autumn leaves season, making it the busiest time of the year. Enjoy Mt. Takao in autumn by changing the time of day when it is crowded or on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Takao-san Yakuo-in
It is one of the three main temples of the Chizan school of Shingon Buddhism, and agoma (prayer) ceremony is held every day in the main hall to grant wishes.The temple also offers hands-on training that is open to the public, including waterfall ascetic practices and modern-style vegetarian cuisine.
 
                    Mt. Takao Cable Car and Lift
It runs back and forth between the base and mid-slopes of Mount Takao. From Takaosan Station and Sanjo Station, you can access Route 1. The cable car's steepest gradient is 31 degrees 18 minutes, making it Japan's steepest incline.
 
                    TAKAO 599 MUSEUM
This museum is named after the height of Mt. Takao. The elegant interior includes specimen displays of plants and insects from the four seasons, a media space, and the 599 Café.
 
                    Takao Visitor Center
This is a Tokyo Metropolitan Government natural park facility located at the summit of Mt. Takao. It provides information on Mt. Takao's nature and history, as well as the latest updates on hiking trails.
 
                    Takao Forest Visitors communication Center
A Forestry Agency facility is located next to the Takao 599 Museum. It provides information on forests and forestry and is popular among woodworkers for crafting woodworking projects.
 
                    FFPRI Tama Forest Science Garden
The 56-hectare research facility features approximately 5,300 trees from Japan and abroad, including cherry blossoms, and is open to the public.
 
                     
                    Mt.Takao Monkey Park and Wild Plant Garden
A group of around 90 monkeys with distinctive personalities.
